Niederkorn Receives National Honors in NAIA-SIDA Publications and Media And CSC Creative Digital Design Contests
St. Louis, Mo. – Both College Sports Communicators (CSC) and the NAIA-Sports Information Directors Association (NAIA-SIDA) recognized American Midwest Conference (AMC) Assistant Commissioner for Communications Bruna Niederkorn for her work this past academic year.
Niederkorn had four pieces of work recognized as top-10 by NAIA-SIDA and two recognized by CSC. The awards, which allow athletics communications staff to showcase their talents, were announced during the College Sports Communicators (CSC) Annual Convention in Las Vegas.
As part of the CSC Creative and Digital Design Contest, the cover of the 2026 AMC Basketball Tournament Program was selected as "Best Cover" in the College Division (NAIA, NCAA D-II/D-III, JUCO and Canadian Institutions). The Tournament Program as a whole was the seventh-best in the College Division, second among NAIA submissions.
Niederkorn's four recognitions in the NAIA-SIDA Publications and Media Contest came in Digital Media Production. The American Midwest Conference website (www.amcsportsonline.com), which Niederkorn oversaw a redesign of and maintains ongoing content updates, was selected as the fifth-best website in the NAIA.
Two of her featured videos also received national recognition. Her profile of Dickinson State University cheer student-athlete Gustav Kutzen was selected sixth-best in the feature video category, while her profile of St. Ambrose University dance student-athlete Sara Gundaker tied for seventh.
Niederkorn's highlight video from the 2025 Men's Soccer Championship match also earned a seventh-place finish in the season highlights category.
"Those of us in and around the American Midwest Conference are fortunate enough to work with Bruna on a daily basis and witness her excellence firsthand. For her to be recognized by her peers at the National level further shows she is one of the best in the business," AMC commissioner Will Wolper said. "The AMC is fortunate and honored to have someone with Bruna's talent, creativity and commitment leading our communications efforts."
Niederkorn is the first athletics communication staff member from the American Midwest Conference to be recognized in NAIA-SIDA's annual contest since Missouri Baptist University's Adam Samson was recognized twice in 2021-22 for his women's volleyball game notes (third) and men's volleyball game notes (eighth). She is also the first from the AMC to be recognized as many as four times in one year, since Freed-Hardeman's John Armstrong (eight top-10s) and Missouri Baptist's Brad Cygan (four top-10s) in 2014-15.
