Columbia’s Nathan Davis Earns Third AMC SID of the Year Award
Written by Bruna Niederkorn, AMC Assistant Commissioner
ST. LOUIS, Mo. – For the third time in his career, Columbia College Sports Information Coordinator & Game Day Operations Manager Nathan Davis has been named the American Midwest Conference (AMC) Scott Cummings Sports Information Director of the Year.
Since joining Columbia College in July of 2022, Davis has made a significant impact on the growth and visibility of the Columbia Cougars brand. As project manager and coordinator of the department's website redesign, he helped create a modernized digital presence that has enhanced the experience for fans and student-athletes.
Davis works tirelessly to promote Cougar student-athletes and teams, and his efforts continue to make a significant impact across multiple platforms. During the 2025-26 academic year, he expanded Columbia's social media reach through a variety of multimedia initiatives, including videography, photography, and graphic design. Those efforts generated more than 2 million Facebook views, 63,200 Reel views, and 3.3 million Instagram views.
Another major focus for Davis has been the improvement of Columbia's athletic history and record books. He has worked to update records and historical information across all sports, giving the pages a refreshed look while also producing a wide range of video content highlighting Cougar athletics.
In addition to his digital media responsibilities, he helped coordinate and host AMC Championship events in men's and women's soccer, competitive cheer, and competitive dance. He also served as the official scorer for the AMC Softball and Volleyball Championship tournaments.
Davis previously earned AMC Sports Information Director of the Year honors in 2022 and 2024 and now becomes a three-time recipient with the 2026 award.
