Dan Hogan, long time AMC soccer coach, will be joining Burchard in the Class of 2023. Hogan coached at three different schools in the conference – Columbia College (1991-1999), Lindenwood University-Belleville (2009-2019) and University of Health Sciences & Pharmacy (2021-present).

Hogan has had success at each school, accumulating over 270 wins and is a seven-time SMCC/AMC Coach of the Year. Additionally, he led his soccer programs to the AMC Regular-Season Championship in 1994 and 2014 and the AMC Tournament Championship in 1994, 1996, 1998, 2014 and 2015.

“For over three decades, Dan’s greatest strength has been connecting with his players, caring for his players and preparing them for life after college,” said John Klein, Columbia College Head Men and Women’s Soccer Coach. “His legacy will always be his ability to bring individuals together to form strong family-like units that share the common interest of education, soccer and competition. Win or lose, his players have always learned the college soccer experience is about more than the results.”

In 2014, Dan led Lindenwood-Belleville to their first-ever NAIA National Tournament appearance in program history and in 2015, the Lynx advanced to the National Semifinals earning Hogan Midwest Regional Coach of the Year honors.

During his career in the SMCC and AMC, Hogan has coached 18 NAIA All-Americans, over a dozen Scholar Athletes, 49 All-Conference players, and three AMC Players of the Year.  Hogan-coached teams were four-time NAIA Midwest Regional Playoff qualifiers, three-time NAIA regional semifinalist including one regional runner-up finish.  Under the direction of Hogan, UHSP earned the NAIA Men’s Soccer Fair Play & Sportsmanship award in 2021.
