AMC Basketball Players of the Week - No. 17 (March 2)

ST. LOUIS, Mo. – Deshawn Munson of Harris-Stowe (Mo.) and Grace Beyer of St. Louis Pharmacy (Mo.) have been named the American Midwest Conference (AMC) Basketball Players of the Week, the conference office announced Monday. Munson and Beyer were selected based on their performances from Feb. 24 – March 1.

 

AMC Men's Basketball Player of the Week
Deshawn Munson, Harris-Stowe (Mo.)
Jr. | G | East St. Louis, Ill.

  • Averaged a triple-double, leading the Hornets to a couple big AMC wins.
  • Recorded 32 points, 13 rebounds and nine assists in the win over Williams Baptist (Ark.).
  • Picked up his sixth triple-double on the season with 25 points, 18 rebounds and 11 assists against Freed-Hardeman (Tenn.).
  • Shot 55.0-percent (22-of-40) from the field.
  • This is his tenth-career AMC Men's Basketball Player of the Week award.
 

AMC Women's Basketball Player of the Week
Grace Beyer, St. Louis Pharmacy (Mo.)

  • Averaged 21.5 points per game, seven rebounds per game and 6.5 assists per game in the Eutectics 1-1 week.
  • Earned the program's first-ever triple-double with 27 points, 10 rebounds and 10 assists.
  • Shot 10-of-23 (43.5-percent) from the field, 20-of-22 (90.9-percent) from the foul line and 3-of-7 (42.9-percent) from the 3-point line.
  • This is her second-career AMC Women's Basketball Player of the Week award.

  • Men:
    • Zach Hudson, Central Baptist (Ark.): Averaged 17.5 points per game and six blocks per game, helping the Mustangs to the regular-season co-championship.
    • Jahmouri Robinson, Missouri Baptist: Scored 18 points on 8-of-14 shooing and dished out six assists in a must win game for the Spartans to get in the AMC Men's Basketball Championship.  
  • Women:
    • Peyton Greenlee, William Woods (Mo.): Drained six three-pointers in eight attempts in the win over Stephens (Mo.).  
    • Madison Riley, Lyon (Ark.): Scored 18.0 points per game, 7.0 assists per game and 6.5 rebounds per game leading the Scots to a 2-0 week. In the game against Columbia, she recorded her third double-double of the season with 20 points and 10 rebounds.
    • Haylee Croom, Freed-Hardeman (Tenn.): Recorded two double-doubles in two games on the week – 18 points, 11 rebounds against Lindenwood-Belleville (Ill.) and 20 points, 11 rebounds against Harris-Stowe (Mo.)
