St. Louis, Mo. – (Tournament Page| Bracket) The Semifinals of the American Midwest Conference (AMC) Women’s Basketball Tournament presented by Tandem HR are set, as the top four seeds each win their quarterfinal games.
Game 1: (2) Stephens def. (7) William Woods, 87-48 Box Score
- Five players for Stephens reached double digits.
- Mia Morel led the Stars with 15 points, six rebounds, and two assists.
- The Stars defense shined, forcing 14 steals and six blocks.
- Aushara Hostetler scored 12 points, on 4-9 from behind the 3-point arc becoming the Stephens all-time single-season leader for 3-point field goals made (59).
- Peyton Dearing and Sydney Booker both finished with double digits for the Owls, 13 each.
Game 2: (3) Williams Baptist def. (6) Cottey, 68-58 Box Score
- Three players from Williams Baptist scored double digits, Kaylee Clark (19 points), Carmen Taylor (15 points), and Taylor Hooten (13 points).
- Clark added six rebounds.
- Eagles’ forward Sarah Crowe set a new AMC women’s basketball Tournament record with 11 blocks.
- Sarah Hunt led Cottey in scoring with 15 points while going 5-8 at the free throw line.
- Sara Montedeoca and Sarah Hunt had three steals each for the Comets.
Game 3: (1) Columbia def. (8) Central Baptist, 90-45 Box Score
- Columbia shot lights out all game, breaking the single-game AMC Tournament record for three-pointers made (16).
- Mackenzie Hess led the Cougars with 18 points, going 6-8 from behind the three-point line
- Columbia’s
bench registered 40 of their 90 points, led by Lexi Miller (16 points)
- Central Baptist had two double-point scorers, Olivia Lambrigsten (14 points) and Rys Anderson (12 points).
- Taryanna McNary led the Mustangs with eight rebounds.
Game 4: (4) Health Sciences & Pharmacy def. (5) Missouri Baptist, 85-77 Box Score
- Grace Beyer led the Eutectics with 54 points (24-25 FTs) and eight rebounds, breaking her own AMC Tournament record for points and free throws (42 and 21 both vs. Williams Baptist, Feb. 23, 2022).
- Elizabeth Allanach had a double-double for Health Sciences & Pharmacy (19 points – 11 rebounds).
- The Eutectics shot 90 percent from the free throw line (27-30).
- Sophia Horton scored 22 points for the Spartans, going 7-11 from the court.
- Missouri Baptist shot 53 percent from the three-point line (8-18)
