Beyer and Horstman Named NAIA Women's Basketball All-Americans

St. Louis, Mo. – Two American Midwest (AMC) women’s basketball players were named to the NAIA All-America Team, announced on Monday. University of Health Sciences and Pharmacy’s Grace Beyer was named First Team All-America and Columbia College’s DeLaney Horstman earned Third Team honors.

Beyer, who finished her career as the NAIA’s all-time leading scorer in women’s basketball history (3,961 points), is a three-time First Team All-American. She led the nation in scoring (35.0 per game) and finished second in free throw percentage (93.5 percent).  Beyer finished third in the AMC in assists (4.3 per game) and fourth in in rebounding (7.9 per game). 

Horstman picked up her first All-American honor after finishing the season averaging a double-double (15.2 points, 11.0 rebounds per game).  She led the AMC in rebounding and second in block shots (1.6 per game) leading Cougars to the AMC regular season and tournament titles.
