KANSAS CITY, Mo. –
Brooklynn Fischer was selected to the NAIA Softball All-America Third Team for the second time in her career after leading Missouri Baptist University softball to the American Midwest Conference Regular Season and Tournament Championships this season.
The junior from New Florence, Mo., becomes the only player in program history with multiple NAIA All-American selections after a selection to the
third team in 2024. She was an instrumental part of the MBU squad that went 46-8 overall, claimed the AMC regular season crown with a 20-2 record, and won the AMC Tournament with four consecutive wins.
In 33 appearances in the circle, Fischer pitched to a 2.43 earned run average and a 20-4 overall record in 161 innings, including 146 strikeouts and a .237 batting average against. She made 23 starts and logged four shutouts, 17 complete games, and her second collegiate save on Feb. 14.
At the plate, she hit .426 with nine home runs, 56 RBI, a .691 slugging percentage, and a .492 on-base percentage.
She led the AMC as a pitcher in wins (22) and finished third in strikeouts (146), while leading in RBI (56) as a hitter, along with a third-place finish in batting average (.426).
