2025 AMC Baseball Tournament Team Preview

O'Fallon, Mo. - (Tournament Page) The 2025 American Midwest Conference (AMC) Baseball Tournament is April 29-May 2. at CarShield Field in O'Fallon, Mo.

Participating in the six-team double-elimination tournament are Central Baptist College, Columbia College, Mission University, Missouri Baptist University, University of Health Sciences & Pharmacy, and William Woods University.

#1-Missouri Baptist University Spartans

  • Missouri Baptist enters the Tournament with a 17-winning streak after earning a share of the AMC Regular Season. They closed the season with a 37-9 overall and 31-5 in league play.

  • James Jett is ranked second in the AMC in RBI (59) and home runs (17), as well as third in batting average (.428).

  • Carter Sabol leads the AMC in wins on the mound with 10 and strikeouts with 93. He is second in ERA with 2.37.

  • The Spartans are 15-5 against the other five Tournament teams this season (4-0 vs. Central Baptist, 2-2 vs. Columbia, 3-1 vs. Mission, 2-2 vs. UHSP, 4-0 vs. William Woods)

#2-Columbia College Cougars

  • Columbia is looking for its third AMC Tournament title, having earned a share of the Regular Season. The Cougars concluded the season with a 39-7 overall record and 31-5 in conference play, and they are currently on a seven-game winning streak.

  • Brayden McGinnis is currently ranked second in the NAIA in both batting average (.507) and RBI (76). He also leads the AMC in batting average, RBI, and home runs with 18.

  • Owen Clark is the AMC leader in ERA with 2.01. He also sits in second place in wins with seven.

  • The Cougars are 15-5 against the other five Tournament teams this season (2-2 vs. Central Baptist, 3-1 vs. Mission, 2-2 vs. Missouri Baptist, 4-0 vs. UHSP, 4-0 vs. William Woods)

#3-Mission University Patriots

  • Mission is competing in their first-ever AMC Tournament as they joined the conference this season. The Patriots wrapped up the regular season with a 32-17 overall record and 25-11 in AMC play.

  • Trey Mulholland leads the team in hits (57) and RBI (41). He is ranked second on the team in slugging percentage with .593

  • Mission's Garrett Hunter is ranked second in the AMC with saves on the mound (4), while Josh Buxton is tied for fourth with 68 strikeouts.

  • The Patriots are 9-11 against the other five Tournament teams this season (1-3 vs. Central Baptist, 1-3 vs. Columbia, 1-3 vs. Missouri Baptist, 3-1 vs. UHSP, 3-1 vs. William Woods)

#4-Central Baptist College Mustangs

  • Central Baptist is the fourth seed in the tournament, with a record of 27-22 and 23-13 in league play. They are looking for their second championship trophy.

  • Ryan Dauphinee leads the team in hits (56), on-base percentage (.465) and slugging percentage (.599).

  • Central Baptist's Ryan Meyer is tied for second in the AMC for wins on the mound with seven.

  • The Mustangs are 11-9 against the other five Tournament teams this season (2-2 vs. Columbia, 3-1 vs. Mission, 0-4 vs. Missouri Baptist, 4-0 vs. UHSP, 2-2 vs. William Woods)

#5-William Woods University Owls

  • William Woods is looking to win their third AMC Tournament. They come into the tournament with a 28-20 overall record and 20-16 in AMC play.

  • William Woods' Kaden Kinsler enters the AMC Tournament with 58 RBIs, ranked third in the AMC.

  • Carson Prescott leads the AMC with six saves, while David Benton III is ranked fifth with six wins.

  • The Owls are 6-14 against the other five AMC teams this season (2-2 vs. Central Baptist, 0-4 vs. Columbia, 1-3 vs. Mission, 0-4 vs. Missouri Baptist, 3-1 vs. UHSP)

#6-University of Health Sciences & Pharmacy Eutectics

  • Health Sciences & Pharmacy is making their first-ever appearance in the AMC Tournament. The Eutectics finished the season with a record of 22-28 and 16-20 in conference play.

  • The Eutectics' Brandon Gibbs and Jacob Grim are ranked first and fifth respectively in the AMC in stolen bases, 34 and 14.

  • Tristan Calmes is ranked second in the AMC in strikeouts with 84, while Barrett Lohman sits in fourth place in strikeouts with 68 and fifth in ERA with 4.05

  • The Eutectics are 6-16 against the other five AMC teams this season (0-4 vs. Central Baptist, 0-4 vs. Columbia, 1-3 vs. Mission, 2-2 vs. Missouri Baptist, 1-3 vs. William Woods)

Tickets can be purchased online at www.amcsportsonline.com/tickets. Single-day tickets are $15 for adults and $8 for 12 and under. All-Tournament passes can be purchased for $50 for adults and $25 for 12 and under.
