AMC Cheer Athletes of the Week- Week 2

St. Louis, Mo. - Missouri Baptist University's Cylin Akins (Stunter) and Kayla Martinez (Tumbler) have been selected as the inaugural American Midwest Conference Competitive Cheer Athletes of the Week. They were selected from nominees submitted by each institution based on their performance from Jan. 29 - Feb. 4 and chosen through a vote of the AMC competitive cheer coaches.

• Scored 17.33 stunt points.
• Earned 12.63 points on execution and 4.7 points for difficulty.
• Helped the Spartans' beat Loyola University (87.10-65.43)
• Led Missouri Baptist to a second-place finish at the Battle in the Big Easy.
• First Stunter of the Week honor.

• Scored 12.80 points tumbling.
• Added a second pass and increased their difficulty by 26 percent.
• Earned 8.20 points on execution and 4.6 points for difficulty.
• First Tumbler of the Week Honor.
