2025 AMC Competitive Dance Championship Preview

COLUMBIA, Mo. - The 2025 American Midwest Conference Competitive Dance is set to take place on Friday, March 7. at the Arena of Southwell Complex on the campus of Columbia College.
The teams participating are: Campbellsville, Columbia, Cumberlands, Missouri Baptist, St. Ambrose, St. Francis, Viterbo, and William Woods.
Prelims will begin at 11 a.m., with the finals scheduled for a 2:00 p.m. start.
Campbellsville earned rankings in all three ARC Ratings with their highest being 5th-place. The Tigers competed in three events this season, securing their best result with an 8th-place finish.
Columbia participated in four competitions this season, taking home first place in one of them. The Cougars ranked 5th in both the second and third ARC Ratings.
Cumberlands made three appearances this season, earning a 6th-place finish as their highest placement. The Patriots were ranked in all three ARC Ratings, with a 4th-place ranking twice.
Missouri Baptist competed in four competitions and claimed the title in one of them. The Spartans were ranked in all three ARC Ratings, with their highest placement being second. The squad also returns one NAIA FIrst-Team and one NAIA Second-Team All-America.
St. Ambrose placed first in all four of their competitions this season. The Bees earned the top spot in all three ARC Ratings. The reigning national champion returns NAIA Dancer of the Year Josie Kaffenberger, as well as five NAIA First-Team, one NAIA Second-Team, and one NAIA Third-Team All-America honorees. Last year, they secured their fourth national title.
St. Francis participated in six events, winning four of them. The Fighting Saints appeared in all three rankings, with their highest being second. They return one NAIA First-Team and three NAIA Third-Team All-America honorees. Last season, they finished eighth in the 2024 NAIA National Championship.
Viterbo competed in six events this season, securing one first-place finish. The V-Hawks were ranked twice in the ARC Ratings, with their highest ranking being second. Viterbo returns one NAIA First-Team, one NAIA Second-Team, and four NAIA Third-Team All-America honorees. They finished ninth in the 2024 NAIA National Championship.
