Columbia Wins Second Straight AMC Men's Golf Championship

Jefferson City, Mo- (Results) The Columbia College Cougars won their second consecutive American Midwest Conference (AMC) Men's Golf Championship.
Columbia finsihed the 54-hole tournament with a score of 857 (288-281--288) and started hot and led after round two. The 7-under par score for Columbia College is the record for the AMC Championship. The previous record was held by William Woods (+1) in 2016.
Championship runner-up Central Baptist College shot an 889 (300-302--287) over the two days, securing an AMC championship second-place finish. William Woods University placed third (299-306-300--906), finishing twelve over after two days.
Individually, the Cougars placed four in the Tournament's top-5. Trey Burton becomes the first individual AMC Tournament champion from Columbia college, he shot the lowest round on the first day (71). Teammate Giacomo Comerio finished one stroke back (72-75-69--216), Kanon Kendrick (t-2nd, 216) and Sean Minor (5th, 217) were the other Cougars in the top-5.
Central Baptist's Leopold Maes was the only non-Cougar in the top-5, finishing tied for second.
William Woods Spencer Worley (5th, 219), Williams Baptist' Tyler Parr (t-12th, 231), Missouri Baptist's Tomas Frencia (t-19th, 236) were the top finishers for their respective teams.
