William Woods Claims AMC Men's Golf Championship Title

MELBOURNE, Ark. - The William Woods University men's golf team captured the 2025 AMC Men's Golf Championship, claiming their first title since 2021 and the 12th in program history. The tournament was held at Cooper Hawk Golf Course. William Woods freshman Liam Toole, named AMC Freshman of the Year, secured the individual title with a total score of 208. AMC Player of the Year Sean Minor of Columbia College finished 11th overall, while Central Baptist's Cooper Hermann, the AMC Newcomer of the Year, placed 23rd. After guiding the Owls to the championship, head coach Aaron Murphy was honored as the AMC Coach of the Year. With the victory, William Woods earned an automatic bid to the NAIA Men's Golf National Championship, set for May 20-23 in Silvis, Illinois.
