St. Louis, Mo. – Josh Sutton of Columbia and Matheus Pereira da Silva of Harris-Stowe were selected this week's American Midwest Conference (AMC) Men's Soccer Players of the Week presented by AMCOnTheGo, announced the conference office this afternoon.
 
Both players are now eligible for the NAIA Men's Soccer Players of the Week which is announced on Tuesday.

AMC Men's Soccer Offensive Player of the Week
Josh Sutton, Columbia
Jr. | F | England

  • Led the Cougars to a 3-1 win over CBC and a tie with Harris-Stowe
  • Recorded the game-winning goal against Central Baptist to help the Cougars claim the regular season title

Other Notable Performance:

  • Austin Miller, Mission: had two goals and one assist in the 3-1 win over Kansas Christian

AMC Men's Soccer Defensive Player of the Week
Matheus Pereira da Silva, Harris-Stowe

  • Led the Hornets to a 5-0 win over the Eutectics and a draw against Columbia
  • Played 90 minutes in between posts and recorded four saves against the Cougars 

Other notable performance:

  • John Smith, Williams Baptist: earned two wins and a complete shutout between posts in two 5-0 wins on the week
