St. Louis, Mo. – Alehsandra Martinez of Cottey and Symone Abraham of Harris-Stowe were selected this week's American Midwest Conference (AMC) Softball Players of the Week presented by AMCOnTheGo, announced the conference office this afternoon. 

AMC Softball Hitter of the Week

Alehsandra Martinez, Cottey

So. | OF | Oxnard, Calif.

  • Led the Comets to a sweep over Sterling.
  • Hit .833 (5-for-6) with a .750 slugging percentage and 1.000 on-base percentage on the weekend.
  • Hit one double and drove in four runs.

Other Notable Performance:

  • Addison Foster, Williams Baptist: hit a walk-off single against (RV) Tennessee Southern. Hit .476 (10-for-21) with a .522 slugging percentage and .810 on-base percentage on the weekend.

AMC Softball Pitcher of the Week

Jr. | P | Decatur, Ill.

  • Threw the first perfect game in program history for Harris-Stowe.
  • Led the Hornets to a 2-0 win over Principia on her perfect game.

Other Notable Performance

  • Ella Schouten, Columbia: Led the Cougars to two wins on the week and had an ERA of 0.50 after wins over Kansas Wesleyan and Oklahoma Wesleyan.
