Columbia, Cottey to Clash in 2026 AMC Softball Tournament Final

BRANSON, Mo. - (Tournament Page) Third-seeded Columbia College will face the second-seeded Cottey College in the title game of the 2026 AMC Softball Tournament at the Branson Rec Plex.
Columbia def. Central Baptist, 6-0
- Ella Schouten and Megan Graver combined for a shutout. Schouten was dominant in her third start of the tournament, retiring the Mustangs in order in three of her six innings and allowing just four hits while striking out eight. Graver came on in relief to close it out, striking out three batters she faced in a clean seventh inning. The Cougars combined for 11 strikeouts.
- Kennedy Schanuth delivered a three-run triple in a five-run fifth inning.
- Cassidy Avery went 2-for-3 with an RBI. Abigail Zismer reached base three times, going 2-for-3 with a walk, and scored twice.
Cottey def. Williams Baptist, 4-1
- Against the tournament's top seed Williams Baptist, Addison Tippie went all seven innings, allowing eight hits and one run while going to a 97-pitch complete game.
- Alma Garcia had a solo home run in the second.
- Garcia finished 3-for-3 with 2 RBI; Halen Hoelzeman added two hits and two RBI.
- The Eagles close their season with a 41-13 record.
Cottey def. Central Baptist, 11-4
- Cottey jumped out to a strong 7–0 lead through four innings before Central Baptist responded with four runs to cut the deficit to 7–4. Cottey answered in the seventh inning, adding four more runs to secure an 11–4 victory.
- Halen Hoelzeman capped the night with a 3-run bomb to make it 11–4. Hoelzeman finished with three RBI; Abby Garcia went 3-for-3 with two RBI and two runs.
- The Mustangs concluded their season with a 29-21 mark.

The Comets will face the Cougars in the AMC Softball Tournament Championship at 12 p.m. tomorrow. With Columbia remaining unbeaten in the double-elimination bracket, Cottey will need to defeat them twice to secure the conference title.
