AMC Women's Basketball Players of the Week - No. 9 (Dec. 23)

ST. LOUIS, Mo. - Abby Backes of Columbia and Monica Horne of Williams Baptist were named this week's American Midwest Conference Women's Basketball Players of the Week, announced the conference office this afternoon.

• Led the Cougars to two non-conference contests on the week, including a 103-33 win over Blackburn
• Scored her 1,000^th career point in the game against the Beavers
• Helped Columbia remain undefeated on the season
