St. Louis, Mo. – Raigan Head of Central Baptist College and Kyrsten Bake of Crowley's Ridge College were named this week's American Midwest Conference Women's Basketball Players of the Week presented by AMCOnTheGo, announced the conference office this afternoon.

AMC Women's Basketball Offensive Player of the Week

Raigan Head, Central Baptist

Jr. | G | Tuckerman, Ark.

  • Had a record-setting week for the Mustangs as she averaged 32.0 points and 5.0 offensive rebounds in two games.
  • Scored a school-record 39 points, including a school-record 13 free throws (on 13 attempts) in a 104-80 loss to Health Sciences & Pharmacy.
  • She scored 25 points and had six offensive rebounds (a school record 20 total rebounds) in the Mustangs 65-63 buzzer-beating win over Harris-Stowe.
  • Fourth AMC Player of the Week honor this season, third Offensive Player of the Week

Other notable performances: 

  • Ireland Jones, Mission:  Scored 40 points and had four assists in the Patriots' 74-70 loss to Stephens.

Kyrsten Bake, Crowley's Ridge

Jr. | F | Roosevelt, Utah

  • Averaged 11.5 rebounds and 2.5 blocks for the week.
  • Grabbed 21 rebounds (10 offensive – 11 defensive) and blocked four shots in the Pioneers' loss to Cottey.  She also contributed 16 points in that contest.
  • The 21 rebounds were two shy of the school record.
  • Second AMC Defensive Player of the Week honor.

Other notable performances:

  • Raigan Head, Central Baptist:  Equaled her own team-record with 20 rebounds in 65-63 win over Harris-Stowe, including 14 on the defensive end.
