SPRINGFIELD, Mo. – (Tournament Page) Higher seeds triumph on day one of the 2026 AMC Women's Basketball Tournament at the W.E. Dowell Fieldhouse, hosted by Mission University.

Columbia and Williams Baptist now await the winners of Health Sciences & Pharmacy vs. Mission and Stephens vs. Central Baptist, respectively.

Game One: Columbia def. Cottey, 70-44 (BOX SCORE)

  • Ashtyn Klusmeyer led all scorers with 22 points on going 10-for-20, adding four rebounds and a steal.
  • Lexi Miller posted a double-double with 14 points and 11 rebounds, along with three assists.
  • Mya Miller contributed 11 points and five rebounds, shooting 4-of-7 from the field.
  • Gabrielle Burrus led the Comets with 16 points, going 6-for-14 from the floor and a perfect 3-for-3 at the line.
  • Ellaina LaNear pulled down a team-high nine rebounds off the bench.

Game Two: Williams Baptist def. Harris-Stowe, 76-42 (BOX SCORE)

  • Cha'Myrean Ellis led all scorers with 21 points (8-12 FG) and grabbed five rebounds.
  • Joi Montgomery recorded a double-double with 15 points and 11 rebounds, while adding five assists and six steals.
  • Sara Crowe added 11 points on 5-for-7 shooting and collected 2 blocks.
  • Alivia Montgomery led the Hornets with 17 points, going 6-for-17 from the field and 3-for-6 from deep.
  • Marchi Hunter contributed with seven rebounds, two steals, and one block.
  • Williams Baptist shot 42.4% from the field and forced 37 turnovers.
  • Harris-Stowe shot 24.1% from the field and totaled 46 rebounds as a team.
