Allison Named NAIA Defensive Player of the Week

KANSAS CITY, Mo. - Natalie Allison put together 180 minutes of shutouts last week as she earns NAIA Women's Soccer Defensive Player of the Week honors. Over the two matches last week, she posted 13 total saves and added two more wins to her total this season.
In the Cougars' first game against Mid-America Christian, Allison notched five saves on the road as CC returned home with a 2-0 victory. The big performance between the posts for Allison came at home against No. 6 John Brown (Ark.), where she kept busy. The junior goalkeeper recorded eight saves for the 1-0 upset victory, matching her eight saves against the Golden Eagles from the 2024 season.
Both eight save matches have Allison in the record books as tied for eighth-best single game performances. Allison's 43 saves on the season put her at 19th in the nation, with a 1.43 goals against average over 630 minutes between the posts.
The Cougars are back in action this Thursday at home when they host Dakota State University at 4:30PM.
