AMC Women's Indoor Track & Field Athletes of the Week - No. 3 (Feb. 8)

ST. LOUIS, Mo. - Amy McMorris of Williams Baptist (Ark.) and Kayla Shiverdecker of Columbia (Mo.) have been named the American Midwest Conference (AMC) Women's Indoor Track & Field Athletes of the Week, the conference office announced Monday. McMorris and Shiverdecker were selected based on their performances from Feb. 1-7.

So. | Atoka, Okla.

• Competed in two events on the week.
• Won the 3000-meter racewalk at the Graceland Indoor Winter Series in a time of 20:42.98.
• Added a sixth-place finish in the 5000-meter run (23:19.55) at the Bethel Thresher Invite.
• Currently ranks 16^th in the NAIA in the racewalk.

Kayla Shiverdecker, Columbia (Mo.)
So. | Hallsville, Mo.

• Competed in the high jump at the Tom Bond Invite.
• Jumped a height of 1.52-meters, winning the event by a meter.

  • Ally Swaim, Central Baptist (Ark.): Finished first in the 60-meter hurdles at the Bethel Invite in a time of 9.10.
  • Makenzie Schwartz, Columbia (Mo.): Picked up a second-place finish and two third-place finishes at the Tom Bond Invite.
