AMC Women's Indoor Track & Field Athletes of the Week - No. 1 (Dec. 12)

St. Louis, Mo. - Taylor Washington of Health Sciences & Pharmacy (Mo.) and Katie French of William Woods (Mo.), have been selected as the American Midwest Conference (AMC) Women's Indoor Track & Field Athletes of the Week, the league announced on Monday. They were selected from nominees submitted by each institution based on their performances from December 5 through December 11 and chosen through a vote of Sports Information Directors from around the AMC.

The first NAIA Women's Indoor Track & Field Athletes of the Week awards will be announced on Jan. 11.

• Broke the schools 10-year-old 60m hurdles record in her first collegiate meet.
• Finished second in that event with a time of 9.44
• Added a ninth-place finish in the high jump (1.45m).

Other Notable Performance:

• Alicia Engelbrecht, William Woods (Mo.): Hit the NAIA "B" Standard in the 5000-meter run with a time of 18:15.53.

• Hit two NAIA "B-Standards" in the first competition of the season.
• Finished fourth in the weight throw with a toss of 16.01-meters.
• Added a sixth-place finish in the shot put with a throw of 13.35-meters
