St. Louis, Mo. - Columbia College's Distance Medley Relay Team (Track) and Hannibal-LaGrange University's Kaylyn Powers (Field) have been selected as the American Midwest Conference (AMC) Women's Track and Field Indoor Athletes of the Week. They were selected from nominees submitted by each institution based on their performances from Jan. 29 - Feb. 4 and chosen through a vote of Sports Information Directors from around the AMC.
AMC Women's Indoor Track Athlete of the Week
Distance Medley Relay, Columbia
  • Placed first in a field of 3 teams in the 4000-meter distance medley relay (14:00.10) at the Jim Green Invite.
  • Landry Johnson, Kierstin Maddox, Taylor Yoder, and Paige Thielen all ran.
  • Their first AMC Athlete of the Week Honor.

Other Notable Performances:
  • Hannah Hayduk, Cottey - Recorded a Cottey College record in 400-meter dash (1:00) at the Washburn Multis.
  • Tiajhae Nez, Haskell -Set a new PR in the mile (5:27.76) at the Washburn open.
  • Taylor Washington, Health Sciences and Pharmacy - Recorded a Health Sciences and Pharmacy record in 60-meter dash (8.42 seconds) at the Jim Green Invite.

  • Placed first in a field of 30 athletes in the wight throw (15.07m) at the Jim Green Invite.
  • Placed second in a field of 28 athletes in the shot put (12.04m) at the Jim Green Invite.
  • Second AMC Athlete of the Week Honor.
