Cougars Secure Back-To-Back AMC Women’s Indoor Track & Field Title

ELSAH, Ill. – The Columbia College Cougars secured their second consecutive American Midwest Conference (AMC) Women's Indoor Track & Field title.
Columbia posted a program-record 246 points to claim the championship. Cottey followed with 123 points to earn a program-best finish, marking the first time in school history the Comets have finished as the runner-up at the AMC Indoor Championship. Health Sciences & Pharmacy placed third with 108 points, also recording its highest team score in program history.
Championship Notes:
- Madalenn Fee of Cottey repeated as both Athlete of the Meet and Outstanding Track Athlete. She defender her titles in the 600-meter run, 1,000-meter run, and mile. She also placed second in the long jump and was a member of the gold-medal winning 4x400-meter relay team.
- Montgomery Keck of Columbia earned back-to-back Outstanding Field Athlete honors after defending her triple jump title. She broke her own AMC record in the event and achieved the NAIA "B" Standard. Keck also captured titles in the 60-meter hurdles and long jump while finishing fourth in high jump.
- Penny Hansen of Columbia was named the Freshman of the Year after placing first in shot put and third in weight throw.
- Columbia's Anyah Ranson was selected Newcomer of the Year after finishing second in high jump and eighth in the 60-meter hurdles.
- Leah Macon-Ford of UHSP repeated as champion in both the 60-meter dash and 200-meter dash champion, hitting the NAIA "B" Standard in the 60-meter dash. She was also part of the 4x400 team that placed third.
