AMC Women's Outdoor Track & Field Athletes of the Week - No. 1 (March 13)

St. Louis, Mo. - Ally Swaim and Ashleigh Gross-Mitchell, both of Central Baptist (Ark.), have been selected as the American Midwest Conference (AMC) Women's Outdoor Track & Field Athletes of the Week, the league announced on Monday. They were selected from nominees submitted by each institution based on their performances from March 6 through March 12 and chosen through a vote of Sports Information Directors from around the AMC.

The first NAIA Men's Outdoor Track & Field Athlete of the Week awards will be announced on Wednesday.

AMC Women's Outdoor Track Athlete of the Week
Ally Swaim, Central Baptist (Ark.)
Sr. | Vilonia, Ark.

• Ran 17.40 in the 110-meter hurdles at the Hendrix Alumni Open.
• Finished first in the event.

Other Notable Performance:

• Lana Ballard, Lyon (Ark.): Finished 6^th in the 100-meter run with a time of 13.78.

Ashleigh Gross-Mitchell, Central Baptist (Ark.)

• Placed ninth in the long jump at the Hendrix Alumni Open.
• Jumped 4.59-meters.
• First long jumper in CBC women's track program history (four year program).

Other Notable Performance:

• Aziza Takhi, Lyon (Ark.): Placed 11^th in the shot put at the Hendrix Alumni Open with a mark of 8.88-meters.
