AMC Women's Outdoor Track & Field Athletes of the Week: Week 1

St. Louis, Mo. - University of Health Sciences and Pharmacy's Taylor Washington (Track) and William Woods University's Natalie Thomas (Field) have been selected as the American Midwest Conference (AMC) Women's Outdoor Track and Field Athletes of the Week. They were selected from nominees submitted by each institution based on their performances from March 11-17 and chosen through a vote of Sports Information Directors from around the AMC.

- Placed second in a field of 10 athletes in the 100-meter hurdles (15.47) at the CMU Open.
- Set a University of Health Sciences and Pharmacy school record in 100-meters.
- First AMC Athlete of the Week Honor.

- Mekayla Gibson, William Woods - Recorded a school record and personal record in 5000-meter dash (17:55.45) at the USM Distance Carnival.

- Finished second in a field of 18 athletes in javelin throw (37.90m) at the CMU Open.
- Her mark was the best NAIA throw at the CMU Open.
- Currently holds first place in the AMC for javelin throw.
- First AMC Athlete of the Week Honor.

- Brianna Ramsey, Health Sciences and Pharmacy- Recorded a school record in hammer throw (41.99m) at the CMU Open.
