AMC Outdoor T&F Women’s Athletes of the Week – No. 5 (Apr. 20)

ST. LOUIS, Mo. – Madalenn Fee of Cottey and Shamari Long of UHSP were selected this week's American Midwest Conference (AMC) Women's Track and Field Athlete of the Week presented by AMCOnTheGo, announced the conference office this afternoon.

- Competed at the PSU Tune Up
- Took home gold in both the 3000-meter steeplechase with a time of 11:21.
- Finished fourth in the 400-meter hurdles with a time of 1:07.
- Leads the conference in both events.
Track Other notable performance:
- Leah Macon-Ford, UHSP: broke the school record in the 400-meter with a time of 59.95 as the finished 10th in the Dewey Algood Invite. Placed fourth in the 200-meter dash with a time of 25.13.

- Finished second in the javelin with a 37.89-meter mark
- Holds the top mark in the AMC for javelin
Field Other notable performance:
- Ellie Berendzen, Columbia: finished first in the hammer with a 47.33-meter throw and 12th in javelin with a 28.07-meter mark at the Dewey Allgood Invitational.
