Columbia wins AMC Women's Cross Country Championship; Bayer wins Individual Title

ST. LOUIS, Mo. - (Results) Columbia Cougars wins their fourth-straight AMC Women's Cross Country title and their fifth championship overall. Emily Bayer of Missouri Baptist took home the individual title at the 2020 event. The Championships took place at Francis Park and was hosted by University of Health Sciences & Pharmacy in St. Louis.
Bayer won her fifth individual race on the season, turning in a time of 19:24.41, winning the race by over six-seconds. After the event, Bayer was named AMC Runner of the Year, the first Spartan to win the award since 2009.
Lauren Sisco of Hannibal-LaGrange finished as the runner-up with a time of 19:30.69, earning All-Conference honors.
Columbia was paced by Mikayla Sehlmeyer, Emma Homfeldt and Jada O'Donnell who finished third, fourth and fifth, respectively.
Bayer, Sisco, Alyssa Jakcsy of Missouri Baptist and Allison Wakeland of Health Sciences & Pharmacy earned the AMCs individual berths to the NAIA Women's Cross Country National Championships.
