ST. LOUIS, Mo. - Brooklynn Fischer of Missouri Baptist and Ivy Smart of Stephens earned this week’s AMC Softball Players of the Week.
 
Both players are now eligible for the NAIA Softball Players of the Week which is announced on Tuesday.
 
AMC Softball Pitcher of the Week
Brooklynn Fischer, Missouri Baptist

• Earned wins in all four games pitched including against No. 8 Central Methodist
• Pitched 19.1 innings, struck out 17 in two complete games
• Allowed 17 hits and nine runs
• Finished the week with a 2.90 ERA

Other Notable Performance: Alex Jeter, Central Baptist: earned three games in the circle for the mustangs, striking out eight and allowing seven hits and one run

• Led the Stars to two conference sweeps over Harris-Stowe and UHSP as well as a split with Missouri Valley
• Went 11-for-21 for a .523 batting average and 1.000 slugging percentage
• Recorded two homers, 11 RBI and scored seven runs

Other Notable Performance: Ellie Kliethermes, Columbia: helped Columbia go 6-0 on the week with nine hits, seven runs and seven RBI
