Columbia Secures 25th AMC Tournament Title

Chesterfield, Mo. – Top-seeded Columbia College swept second-seeded Stephens College to secure their 25th American Midwest Conference (AMC) volleyball tournament title.

This marked the 20th time Columbia captured both the regular-season and tournament titles in a single season.

The set scores were: 25-22, 25-17, 25-19.
  • AMC Freshman of the Year Kenedi Canty led the team with 11 points, while Amari Branch-Autman led the Stars with 11.5 points. 
  • Three players poster double-digit digs, including a double-double from AMC Setter of the Year Emma Whitson with 32 assists and 10 digs for the Stars. 
  • AMC Player and Defensive Player of the Year Jatnna Pena-Perez added 22 digs for the Stars, while Taylor Johnson had 23 digs for the Cougars.
  • Columbia’s Hannah Vogt added 22 assists, while Alexa Olson added 16. 
  • Mila Zoric recorded two solo blocks and two block assists. 
Columbia secured the first automatic bid with as the regular-season champions, while Stephens claimed the second spot as the tournament runner-up. Both teams with learn their opponent at the NAIA selection show on Monday, Nov. 17 at 4 p.m. on the NAIA YouTube page.
