AMC Announces Partnership With Engine

The American Midwest Conference (AMC) has officially partnered with Engine, a rapidly growing group travel platform designed to streamline hotel bookings for collegiate athletic departments, staff, and student-athletes. This collaboration will enhance travel support for AMC institutions, covering both regular-season trips and championship events.

Coordinating travel for multiple varsity programs is a significant challenge—particularly for schools with limited administrative resources. From adjusting schedules to handling last-minute changes, organizing logistics for hundreds of student-athletes can quickly become overwhelming. However, when travel logistics are well-managed, the benefits are clear: teams arrive refreshed, stay in quality accommodations, and athletic departments can reinvest saved time and resources into their programs.

Engine is specifically designed to address these challenges. The platform provides:
  • Consolidated invoicing and direct billing to schools
  • Flexible, penalty-free last-minute changes
  • 24/7 expert customer support
  • A simple, intuitive interface for coaches, administrators, and staff
“We’re thrilled to partner with the AMC to offer enhanced travel solutions for their teams and events,” said Joon Lee, Director of Partnerships at Engine. “Our platform removes the stress from group travel, allowing the conference to focus on performance rather than logistics.”

Engine also offers tangible value by delivering an average of 26% savings across its network of 750,000+ hotels worldwide. AMC institutions now have access to quality accommodations at better prices, while student-athletes enjoy a more elevated travel experience.

The platform has become a key asset for collegiate athletic departments, eliminating the need for tedious tasks like managing separate credit cards, gathering receipts, or handling multiple spreadsheets. Whether it’s helping new coaches adjust to booking procedures or providing visibility into team budgets and travel reports, Engine simplifies the entire process.

“This partnership with Engine will benefit our schools when it comes to team travel, which is one of their largest expenses,” AMC Commissioner Will Wolper said.  “Utilizing Engine’s platform and technology will save money, streamline the athletics department’s lodging processes and make hotel booking more efficient and less time-consuming for coaches.”

With no contracts, no fees, and no disruption to existing systems, AMC schools can start using Engine immediately to optimize team travel.
